The implementation of the Massachusetts Uniform Probate
Code, G. L. c. 190B, originally scheduled for January 2,
2012, has been delayed. The delay is the result of the
recent vote by the House and Senate to extend the effective
date of the Code for ninety days until March 31, 2012. We
have received confirmation that the Governor will sign the
bill into law on December 30, 2011.

is designed to make the court more accessible to the
community. Internet services provide users with needed
information regarding court functions and procedures, and supply the
necessary forms to file a case in the court.
Legal information and forms concerning domestic
relations, adoption, paternity, estates and self-representation will
be available on-line, as well as helpful links to corresponding
agencies.
It is our hope that the convenience of
online information and downloadable forms will make the filing
process easier and understanding of court procedures more clear.
