The implementation of the Massachusetts Uniform Probate Code, G.
L. c. 190B, originally scheduled for January 2, 2012, has been
delayed. The delay is the result of the recent vote by the House and
Senate to extend the effective date of the Code for ninety days
until March 31, 2012. We have received confirmation that the
Governor will sign the bill into law on December 30, 2011.
