WELCOME to the Hampshire Probate and Family Court Website.

My name is Mike Carey and I am honored to serve as your Hampshire County Register of Probate.

We at the Hampshire Registry are committed to carrying out the mission of the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court, which is:

“To deliver timely justice to the public by providing equal access to a fair, equitable  and efficient  forum to resolve family and probate legal matters and to assist and protect all individual families and children in an impartial and respectful manner.”

The probate Court has legal jurisdiction over probate and family related matters such as adoption, guardianships of minors and adults, divorce, custody, modification of court judgments, name changes, and other legal proceedings.  We are pleased to be able to bring you this website, which we hope will serve as a helpful and useful guide to you and help facilitate your interaction with your probate court.  Much of the information and downloadable forms that you will need to conduct your business with the court may be found on these pages.  This website and its applicable links are intended to permit easy and full time accessibility to court information.  Improvements and revisions to the website will be made as may be required by changes in the law, probate practices and policies.

Thank you and we look forward to serving you.
